Snow skiing Visit Beech Mountain Resort for skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, its own brewery, restaurant dining, a skybar and shopping in winter. In summer and shoulder seasons mountain biking and disc golf supplement the bands and events held there. This web site has a great interactive map for checking the current information on snow base, temperature and which runs, lifts and areas are open. During winter, there is an awesome webcam so that, even if you can't be here, you can watch the fun happen.

Tweetsie Railroad 1956 Tweetsie Locomotive #12 was purchased fom actor Gene Autry by local native and developer, Grover Robbins.
